Hasanur, the village

Hasanur is Located on the NH209,on the way from Satyamangalam to many Tourist spots like Mudumalai, Mysore, Bangalore, Bandipur, K Gudi Camp. Hasanur Hill is situated at 1115 meters above the sea level with a total area of 4532.53 ha.  It lies 77°3”42’ N longitudes and 11°40”16’ latitude. 

Hasanur is situated 110kms from Coimbatore. It is a place where wild life lovers would love to visit. It has been recently converted into a tiger reserve. Trekking is fun in Hasanur and there are many tribal hamlets there. You can find a lot of wild elephants, tigers, leopards and panthers. National highway passes through Hasanur and it lies on the border of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka states. This Place is in the border of the Erode District and Chamarajanagar District. It is near to the Karnataka State Border. It is located 100 KM towards west from District head quarters Erode. 22 KM from Talavadi. 436 KM from State capital Chennai, 105 Kms to Mysore after 28 Hairpin Bends from Bannari Temple

There are several ways to reach the Hasanur via road, viz

  • Hasanur can be reached from its foot hills at Bannari Temple, Sathyamangalam, Erode, Tamilnadu and it is barely 20 KM via Thimbam Hills which has 27 hairpin bends
  • It can be reached from the other end of hills Chamraj Nagar District, Karnataka


There is no railway station near to Hasanur in close proximity. Erode & Coimbatore Junction is the closest and a major Railway Station which distances from 100 KM from Hasanur
